When Fear is Eliminated

I was just listening to a voice memo I made of a great day I had earlier this year. I spoke about how it had been a crazy week and how I'd missed school two days that week to catch up on work. Then when it was time to decide whether or not to go to school I had a U.S History book quiz that I had only read 1 chapter out of the 4 assigned, and a Chemistry test which I was really nervous for. NOT GOOD. I panicked but something inside me that day told me not to run away from this fear and that I was more prepared than I thought. See, I think humans have this weird relflex, lets say, that automatically tells us we are worse off than we actually are. This, I think stems from our nerves about certain things. I ended up going to school and tackling my stress head on. That day ended up being a great one for me, and I think it was a lesson to me that when fear is eliminated you are rewarded. At mass there was a reading today that spoke about how we can't be fearful because Christ lives in us, and this day I had corresponds perfectly to this message. I was terribly worried about my day but I think something, whether it be religious or not, turns out better than we anticipate when we stop our nerves from taking over and filling our heads with senseless ideas. I ended up doing well on chemistry and decent on my U.S quiz. It was a lesson I felt like sharing because it is something we can all benefit from hearing from. Each one of us has some kind of journey laid out for us in my opinion, and everything we'll turn out in the end when we control our minds and thoughts. When we fulfill the being god made us to be, we will feel fulfilled. My brother also came home from college that Friday and surprised me. I felt lifted up and couldn't help but smile all day that day. Additionally, I had a concert that night and earlier, during the school day, I had heard an African Studies class banging drums. During the concert that happened later, I shed tears when my choral director spoke of the seniors leaving the music program. How is this related to my day? The day I almost decided to miss, turned out to continuously bring me small joys for my strength of facing the school day. I felt so moved as the upper class man shared their music, songs that gave me goosebumps and made me ponder about things my life. So then, I claimed the day as a day of art and wrote a poem about it. But the main take away from what some might say was just a normal day and would discount any messages, is that, to me; when we have faith in ourselves and lose our sometimes irrational fears, we find things turn out for the better, and ponder that maybe there might be a bigger plan in store for us than we anticipate.
A Day of Art Poem:
A day of art is a day of culture, beauty, music, happiness and excitement.
A day of art is a day of joy, of performance, of passion and of tears.
A day of art is pensive and reflective and helps us as we continue on in our everyday lives and gives us a new perspective.
A day of art..
